Thank you everyone for participating with us on this final race of the season. It was a great race, tough, tricky and to some, a bit exhausting, but as the final event of our season, which pays double points, we thought we owe all racer a big challenge. Disappointed that a few did not make it all the way, but you tried on a course, perhaps in par with many of the Baja sections, but in short spurts.
Besides, you didn't have to spend over $1000 for an entry with most other promoters. We offer you and inexpensive way to get into the sport, learn and have great fun.
We played a bit with the Facebook "streaming" prospect and we learned a lot. Next time it will look a bit more professional but what we did, was to show some of you how our races are executed. We received excellent response. I think at one time there 126 people watching live.
Next year we have a seven-race (7) schedule that begins January 14, 2017. It will be a 100-mile sprint that we believe you are really going to enjoy. Most likely it will be two-50-mile laps. Once again we will start our race at 10 a.m. promptly.
I FORGOT AND YOU FORGOT. We were to draw for two, $200.00 gift certificates from AVE/BP RACING as a way to say thank you to all for racing with us in 2016. Sometime tomorrow, we will throw all the race numbers that participated in our race this weekend, and I'll have Lois pick two of them, We will announce it on Facebook, or our website and we will send everyone a quick e-mail with the names. The two $200 certificates can be redeemed by the individual at any of our seven events. These are non-transferable.
Thank you again.
Lois and Lou Peralta and the AVE/BP Racing staff and volunteers.
