We had an awesome race last weekend at the AVE Pure UTV 200. With the wet dirt and awesome weather, we were in for a great day of racing! I drove a fast but conservative race that I knew
the car could handle for the entire 200 miles without any issues. We settled into a decent pace the first lap getting around a couple of drivers after starting in the 6th position
off the line.
After Lap 1, we had to step up the pace a bit more to keep moving forward to the front of the pack. By Lap 3 we were in 2nd Overall physically. The leaders were pulling away
still and we put in a good fourth lap but it wasn’t enough to run with the leaders this race. I drove smooth the last lap to make sure we made it in and we took 2nd Place
Overall and 2nd Place in the Pro Turbo Class. I am figuring out there is a fine line racing these UTV’s on how hard you can push the car and actually finish the race. You can
just hammer down and hope for the best on taking the win or take it a bit easy and hope everyone else has an issue. It’s definitely a lot different than racing a dirt bike where the equipment
is normally bullet-proof and it’s all on the rider’s ability. I know a few things I can do to
improve my speed in the next race without sacrificing any reliability in my car. We will see how it goes on the next one.
My Can-Am X3 was handling amazing all day with my freshly tuned UTVShocks.com suspension and @eibach_offroad springs. We have been working closely with Tom at UTVShocks.com on our setup and this race
it was perfect for my driving style and car setup. Our @kendatire tires on @racelinewheels were hooked up all day and the car was ripping with our @pwrtune ECU tune, @trinity_racing Exhaust, and
@kwi_clutching. I really can’t thank all our friends, family, & sponsors enough for all the help with
the great products and all the work on the car they have done to get me out there racing. Also thanks to my Co-Driver Jeremy Gray for all the hard work on the car and being crazy enough to ride with
a guy that drives with just his hands! Now that takes some serious trust! @bajadesignsofficial @ct_raceworx @mcsafety1 @impactbymcs @safecraft @ruggedradios @robrjfab @zollingerracingproducts
